Adding family members on FB.

I thought it’d be a curse at first because they’d know all about my business, but seeing them type in Tagalog and especially Ilocano is really comforting. Gives me the same cozy feeling I get when I hear the grown-ups conversing in Ilocano in the backyard at family parties. Unlike ENGLISH, everything really is all spelled the way it sounds! Like this.. “ket kastoy ah cuz, rigat met latta, sobrang busy ngaun…palubos ti apo cuz agbakasyonak to no agraduar ni wawie.” (basically says “Oh, it’s just like this cuz, it’s still hard, very busy…if God permits cuz, I’ll vacation when Wawie graduates.”) That’s some sick spelling tho, right… I really want to get to the point where I can start typing/writing in Ilocano too. Now that I’m home, this could definitely be a more tangible endeavor.
