I still have a lot of growing up to do.

I have to be open to constructive criticism. This isn’t high school or college anymore. This is the real world. and if you don’t have balls of steel, you’re not gonna make it very far or for very long. It’s fact.

Going hand in hand with that is being woman enough to accept responsibility for the mistakes I make. And I feel like I do, open and honestly. The part I’m having a tough time coming to grips with is realizing the mistakes I make are only situational—they occur at a moment in space and time and under certain circumstances. They don’t define me. Just because I make certain mistakes, doesn’t mean I’m incompetent, lazy or irresponsible. It just means I have a lot more to learn.
